William Mary of Orange


William was the king of England from 1688 to 1894. Mary was Queen of England from 1688 to 1702.
They were Protestant.
They overthrew James II, which is called the Glorious Revolution.
They self relying William and Mary had limited power because England was not an absolute monarch but instead a constitutional monarchy. They had to agree to have Parliament as a partner and follow the Bill of Rights.
They had a positive impact, because the started the new form of a monarchy and left on a good note.
They are known for partnering up with parliament.
